COMPANY PROFILE AND HISTORY

AEROMEDICAL is the first Air Ambulance dedicated company in Guatemala, Central America. We operate from our own facilities located at La Aurora International Airport.

We have more than 20 years of experience into the aviation industry. Our family owned company was established in 1998 providing private flights for passenger transport, cargo, parachuting and as an additional service aircrafts were frequently used for patients air transport. In 2006 due to the demand of a professional air ambulance service, we started the process to develop our own medical department acquiring especial medical equipment and training medical crews on in-flight patient care. This process lead us to create AEROMEDICAL in 2007, an exclusively air ambulance dedicated company that provides both national and international bed to bed service.

Aeromedical is always looking to keep high security and quality standards.

Our medical team is composed for experienced physicians, who as a part of their daily practice, provide routine management of intensive care patients inside first level medical facilities, as well as highly trained paramedics.

Aircrafts are provided with state of the art medical equipment, cardiac and vital signs monitors gas powered ventilators, long range O2 bottles and medical supplies among others; allow the patient to be comfortable and adequately attended during flight and make it possible for the crew to response in an emergency.

We hire qualified professional pilots. All of them accomplish with class and type rating for the aircraft they fly and are ATP. Fleet maintenance is performed by approved DGAC (Guatemalan Civil Aviation Authority) certified facilities. Every aircraft is equipped with special stretchers. The right aircraft is provided according to patient’s medical condition and geographical location.

As an important part of our company engagement policies, we are certified for the MSPAS (Guatemalan Health Authority) and follow international guidelines for air ambulance services around the world. This has gained the trust to provide services to international insurance companies, oil companies in Guatemala and local hospital corporations.
